Voting Opportunities for New Jersey registered students on campus

In the 2020 election, New Jersey had the highest youth vote in the country, with a 22% increase over 2016 rates. Additionally, the state sponsored a number of historic voting bills to give New Jersey voters increased access to the polls. We are so thrilled to see this momentum in our home state. Below are some ways in which you can do your part.

In-person Early Voting (Oct. 23rd to Oct. 31st):

Any person registered to vote in Princeton, in any voting district, can vote between October 23 and October at the Princeton Shopping Center located at 301 North Harrison Street. The early voting site is to the left of the Bagel Nook and near Nomad Pizza. Hours will be:

  • Monday through Saturday, 10am to 8pm
  • Sunday 10am to 6pm

No appointment is necessary. Please bring a mask with you.

Secure Ballot Box (until Nov. 2nd)

The secure ballot box is located at the Dinky station near the Wawa. From the Wawa entrance facing Forbes, you will see the blue and red ballot box on the circular drive to your left.

Ballots can be dropped off there until 8pm on election day, November 2nd.

Election Day In-person Voting (Nov. 2nd)

In-person voting for voters residing on the Princeton University campus, Districts 7 & 8, will be held at the Princeton Hook and Ladder Fire House located at 27 North Harrison Street.

Polls will be open from 6am to 8pm on Tuesday, November 2.

Check your voter registration

The State of New Jersey has compiled a very useful 2021 Voter Portal. You can check your registration status and learn more about election procedures in New Jersey.

You can also use Princeton’s Turbovote for voter information and assistance, including text reminders, for New Jersey elections or another state where you are registered.

Thanks for your support and engagement on this important civic responsibility. Remember that To be a Princetonian is to Vote!
