Jessica Bailey '19 has been named the inaugural Arts Program Coordinator. In this role, Jessica will play a central role in supporting the work of nearly 60 registered student arts organizations, as well as individual student artists using ODUS-managed resources. As Arts Program Coordinator, she will serve as the primary administrative point of contact for all activity, from group and individual students in the video production studio, recording studio, and digital editing suite to produce artistic work on campus. In addition to developing and implementing policies for these facilities, she hires and supervises student staff working in these spaces. Jessica also works collaboratively with colleagues across campus, serving as a conduit between student arts organizations and various University departments, including the Lewis Center for the Arts, Music Department, McCarter Theatre Center, and Event and Venue Support Services.
As an undergraduate, Jessica was an active member of BodyHype Dance Company, the Princeton University Players, Chapel Choir, Dorobucci, and the Program in Theater. She graduated with an A.B. in Sociology, with certificates in African American Studies and Musical Theater.
Professionally, Jessica has stepped into an opportunity where she will continue to realize her passion for arts administration, particularly pertaining to access, diversity and inclusion, and community building. She looks forward to working with all students to help make their artistic dreams a reality. Please join the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students in welcoming Jessica as she begins her appointment on Monday, September 23. A welcome mixer for students will be held later in the week.
