Joseph Rolón, Director of Residence Life at Grinnell College, has been appointed Director of Student Life at Butler College. Joe succeeds Deshawn Cook who accepted a position at Barnard College in November.
Joe comes to Princeton with a wealth of experience in student affairs. He has held several different positions at Grinnell, each with increased responsibility in areas such as mental health and emergency response, student conduct, and residential life policies and protocols. He has served on a variety of task forces and work teams at Grinnell to improve student and staff training, develop student co-curricular learning goals and metrics, and has advised on facility improvement and building projects. Prior to his work at Grinnell, Joe served as Residence Life Coordinator at the University of Southern Mississippi and as a Residence Hall Director at Fairleigh Dickinson. He has also worked as a mental health clinician at several hospitals in New York and New Jersey.
Joe earned a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame with concentrations in psychology and computer science. He received his M.A. in theoretical psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
