While many students know Outdoor Action (OA) through the Orientation "Frosh Trip" program, the excitement does not stop after the first week! As the fall semester begins, OA will be offering a lot of cool programs starting with a kickoff called "OA Day" on Saturday, September 18th. The event will last from 11AM-6PM and will have three main time slots for activities (11AM-1PM, 1:30PM-3:30PM, and 4PM-6PM). During these times, activities include a guided biking group that will leave from Frist South Lawn for a two-hour ride along a local route, canoeing on Lake Carnegie and the Canal, and hiking at the Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve. In addition, the Climbing Wall at Princeton Stadium will be open, and Yoga classes incorporating mindfulness exercises will also be available. Throughout the day, there will be outdoor lawn games on Frist South Lawn like Spikeball, Cornhole and others, at no charge and with no reservations needed.
Two-hour sessions requiring reservations will have available time slots posted to the My PrincetonU app. Make sure to recruit friends to sign-up alongside!
OA received a TigerWell grant focused on increasing access to the outdoors and promoting physical and mental health on campus. Thanks to this support, OA will be running a lot of weekly programs and day trips throughout the academic year and invite you to join us for the exciting activities that have been scheduled. Join us on September 18th to for an early preview of upcoming programs and kick off the semester of events!
