Beginning July 6, 86 cohorts of incoming students have met with one of seventeen upper-class student leaders or Summer Engagement Coordinators who work to build a bridge between the beginning stages of Orientation and connections within the Class of 2024. These cohorts ranging from fifteen to twenty incoming students meet weekly to discuss topics surrounding campus life, finding your community at Princeton, celebrating commonalities and differences, sharing individual stories, and much more. Over the course of the next five weeks, incoming students will engage in these conversations with their SEC and their fellow classmates as they prepare for their entrance to campus in the Fall.
This new program within Orientation truly serves as space for students to learn and grow together as they navigate transitioning to Princeton both virtually and on campus. The summer engagement program leads students into the formal Fall Orientation that will be held in a virtual format this year beginning on August 17, 2020.
