
Dean Johnson supports student organizations through the development and implementation of student leader training and administrative advisement on University policies and protocols. Through his work, Jelani supports student organization activity in advocacy, agency, and collaboration.
He is the co-adviser to the Undergraduate Student Government (USG), the USG Projects Board, Alcohol Initiative, and serves as the chair of the Student Group Accountability Board.
Prior to Princeton, Jelani worked in Student Activities at Amherst College, advising student government and registered organizations, supporting diversity & inclusion initiatives and advancing interdepartmental collaboration. Jelani attended Cornell University, receiving a B.A in Africana Studies & Government, and attended Brooklyn College where he received a M.S. in Secondary Education from Brooklyn College.
Jelani relishes crime drama and mystery movies. He also enjoys writing, blogging and reading in his spare time.
