Bio/Description

Located in Mathey Residential College, Dean Chesanko serves as the primary crisis case manager, available to talk with students about concerns around well-being and can refer them to appropriate campus resources. Melissa works with relevant campus partners to address student concerns, uphold community standards, respond to problems and conflicts, and identify resources that can best support students to ensure their continuing success.     

Prior to Princeton, Melissa worked as counselor/clinical therapist, associate dean of students, and director of sexuality and gender inclusion at The College of Wooster. Melissa earned a BSW from James Madison University, a M.A. of counseling and a EdD, both from West Virginia University.    

Melissa enjoys connecting with nature (come visit her office plants!). She enjoys taking neighborhood walks with her dog, Molly, while her cat, Benson, follows along.
