Located in Forbes Residential College, Dean Smith serves as the primary crisis case manager, available to talk with students about concerns around well-being and can refer them to appropriate campus resources. Michelle works with relevant campus partners to address student concerns, uphold community standards, respond to problems and conflicts, and identify resources that can best support students to ensure their continuing success.

Michelle earned a B.A. in Communication from the State University of New York at Oswego and a M.S. in Education from Hofstra University. She has a continuity of service in student-centered positions, with a primary focus on student development and belonging.

Outside of work, Michelle enjoys shopping for new home decor and binge watching the Food Network and HGTV.
