Bio/Description

Mr. Wolapaye serves as the Director of Student Life (DSL) for Whitman College. In this capacity, he is the primary staff member within the residential college responsible for supporting and enhancing the undergraduate residential and extracurricular experience of students from all four years residing in or affiliated with that college. He coordinates efforts to assist the college's students around health and wellness issues and serves as the liaison between the student, his or her family, academic deans, and other relevant Campus Life offices; upholds expectations for good conduct and citizenship through conflict resolution, investigating and adjudicating disciplinary issues, and helping students to understand the value of living in a diverse community; oversees the Residential College Adviser program within the college; and plans, implements, and supports non-academic educational and social programming by advising the College Council and other student leaders.

Momo hails from Monrovia, Liberia, and has lived in the U.S. for nearly 23 years. Before joining the Whitman staff, he served in various student life positions at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, Waldorf University in Iowa, and Otterbein University in Ohio. While at Otterbein, he took students on a civil rights pilgrimage through several states. He loves traveling and has visited 43 of the 50 states. He lives in Princeton with his wife, a nurse who works for the Capital Health Group.
