Residing in New College West Residential College, Residential Life Coordinator Nia Pierce assists in cultivating a welcoming and cohesive residential community. RLC Nia supports and promotes the health, safety and well-being of students in New College West . By residing in the college and being readily available to respond to crises and urgent situations, Nia helps to create and maintain a safe and supportive residential environment for all students. In addition, RLC Nia develops and implements programs and activities that foster a sense of community, well-being, and belonging among college residents and assists in developing the skills required to navigate the opportunities and challenges of living and learning within the University community successfully.
Nia attended the College of New Jersey, where she received her Bachelor's in Music Education with a harp studies minor. She is now obtaining her Master's in Education Policy-Law and Policy from Columbia University.
Nia enjoys traveling, practicing her harp, and spending time with friends and family.
