Engagement Committees

The Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students regularly convenes committees comprised of administrators from across the university community to evaluate and improve student engagement. For questions about these committees, please contact the staff listed below. 

Student Organization Advisory Committee

The Student Organization Advisory Committee works collaboratively across Campus Life units sponsoring student organizations to develop and implement a strategic vision for recognized student organizations; to assess systems, policies, and processes that guide  student organization work; and to identify trends in student life to ensure Princeton’s student  organizations are aligned with larger trends across higher education. 

The Student Organization Advisory Committee meets monthly during the academic year and is comprised of administrators from each campus life office sponsoring student organizations: 

  • Campus Recreation
  • Center for Jewish Life
  • Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students
  • Office of Religious Life
  • Pace Center for Civic Engagement

Orientation Advisory Board

The Orientation Advisory Board reviews annual assessment data and feedback to make recommendations for future program changes that align with the curricular goals of the program, and is comprised of administrators from:

  • Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students
  • Office of the Dean of the College
  • Athletics
  • Residential Colleges
  • University Health Services
  • Pace Center for Civic Engagement
  • Office of Diversity and Inclusion
  • Office of Communications

Student Advising and Campus Programmers Group

The Student Advising and Campus Programmers Group is open to staff who work closely with students, graduate and undergraduate, in providing and supporting community-building programs. Facilitated by the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students, this group meets monthly during the academic year to discuss topics of student programming, including policies and practices, student leadership, and assessment, and provide a space to identify opportunities for collaborations among departments.
